Item No. 5 <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: ELECTION OF MAYOR AND MAYOR PRO -TEM <br />DATE: May 10, 2022 <br />BACKGROUND: Following the acknowledgement of the result of prior Council action <br />declaring Candidates for Council Districts 1, 2, 3 & 6 elected to office and administering of <br />Oaths, the City Council will be seated for the upcoming year. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: Section 16 of the City Charter requires that the newly comprised City <br />Council shall elect from among its members a Mayor and Mayor Pro -Tem. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Elect a Mayor and a Mayor Pro -Tem to serve for one year. <br />
