Cherry Street. <br />DATE: May 23, 2022 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Geneva Knight for a change in <br />zoning from a Light Industrial District (LI) to a One -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) in the <br />City of Paris, Block 50, Lot 2, located at 1155 W. Cherry Street. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The subject property is zoned LI, is guided for Low Density Residential and contains a SF <br />dwelling. <br />• The land to the West is zoned LI, is guided for Low Density Residential and contains a SF <br />dwelling along NW 12th St. on the other side of the trail and tracks. <br />• The land to the North is zoned SF -2, is guided for Low Density Residential, and are single family <br />residences. <br />• The land to the East is zoned LI, is guided for Low Density Residential and contains a SF <br />dwelling. <br />• The land to the South is Zoned LI, is guided for Low Density Residential and is vacant land. <br />The change in zoning will be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. The proposed residential <br />use of the property is consistent with the existing residential uses of the street area. The change in <br />zoning will permit the reconstruction of the new residence. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the change in zoning Light Industrial District (LI) to a One -Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2). <br />
