<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />85-102 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has <br />accepted the challenge to address street and drainage <br />problems throughout the City by developing a program which <br />will contain three elements as follows: rehabilitation/- <br />reconstruction of existing facilities, construction of new <br />facilities and annual maintenance of facilities to protect <br />the investment that has been made and will be made; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a committee to <br />be known as the Street and Drainage Improvement Committee be <br />appointed to assist the City Council in evaluating the <br />street and drainage needs of the City of Paris and what part <br />of such needs are within the financial capability of the <br />City to finance and to make recommendations concerning <br />priorities to be established by the City Council in pursuing <br />street and drainage improvements; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the composition of such committee is hereby <br />established at two persons from each of the seven single <br />member districts of the City of Paris to serve for two year <br />terms with replacements being appointed upon resignation, <br />disqualification or failure to regularly attend committee <br />meetings. Such term to begin January 1, 1986 to December <br />31, 1987; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris has received <br />nominations for the Street and Drainage Improvement <br />Committee from members of the City Council and has appointed <br />Leon Williams and Foster Stone from District 1, Al Stanford <br />and Clovis Graves from District 2, Harlan Terry and Roger <br />Shockey from District 3, Jerry Lutz and Mrs. Brenda Draper <br />from District 4, Nathan Bell and Dave Philley from District <br />5, Richard Nafe and Bob McCarley from District 6 and Donald <br />Wall and Steve Glover from District 7; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the appointment of Leon Williams and Foster <br />Stone from District 1, Al Stanford and Clovis Graves from <br />District 2, Harlan Terry and Roger Shockey from District 3, <br />Jerry Lutz and Mrs. Brenda Draper from District 4, Nathan <br />Bell and Dave Philley from District 5, Richard Nafe and Bob <br />McCarley from District 6 and Donald Wall and Steve Glover <br />from District 7, to serve as members of the Street and <br />Drainage Improvement Committee of the City of Paris for a <br />term of two (2) years, beginning January 1, 1986, and ending <br />December 31, 1987, be, and the same are hereby approved and <br />confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of December, 1985. <br /> <br />~~i:ir' Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />
