RESOLUTION NO. 85-102 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has accepted the challenge to address street and drainage problems throughout the City by developing a program which will contain three elements as follows: rehabilitation/- reconstruction of existing facilities, construction of new facilities and annual maintenance of facilities to protect the investment that has been made and will be made; and, WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a committee to be known as the Street and Drainage Improvement Committee be appointed to assist the City Council in evaluating the street and drainage needs of the City of Paris and what part of such needs are within the financial capability of the City to finance and to make recommendations concerning priorities to be established by the City Council in pursuing street and drainage improvements; and, WHEREAS, the composition of such committee is hereby established at two persons from each of the seven single member districts of the City of Paris to serve for two year terms with replacements being appointed upon resignation, disqualification or failure to regularly attend committee meetings. Such term to begin January 1, 1986 to December 31, 1987; and, WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris has received nominations for the Street and Drainage Improvement Committee from members of the City Council and has appointed Leon Williams and Foster Stone from District 1, Al Stanford and Clovis Graves from District 2, Harlan Terry and Roger Shockey from District 3, Jerry Lutz and Mrs. Brenda Draper from District 4, Nathan Bell and Dave Philley from District 5, Richard Nafe and Bob McCarley from District 6 and Donald Wall and Steve Glover from District 7; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the appointment of Leon Williams and Foster Stone from District 1, Al Stanford and Clovis Graves from District 2, Harlan Terry and Roger Shockey from District 3, Jerry Lutz and Mrs. Brenda Draper from District 4, Nathan Bell and Dave Philley from District 5, Richard Nafe and Bob McCarley from District 6 and Donald Wall and Steve Glover from District 7, to serve as members of the Street and Drainage Improvement Committee of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning January 1, 1986, and ending December 31, 1987, be, and the same are hereby approved and confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris.
