Regular Council Meeting <br />June 27, 2022 <br />Page 11 <br />Mayor Portugal reconvened City Council into open session at 7:26 p.m. A Motion to <br />approve PEDC's Economic Development Agreement with Lionshead was made by Council <br />Member Pankaj and seconded by Council Member Savage. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />26. Discuss and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2022-047: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A <br />TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT WITH LIONSHEAD PARIS, LLC; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ms. Harris said this agreement was in conjunction with PEDC and Lionshead Economic <br />Development Agreement. She said the agreement required that at least fifteen employees be <br />retained throughout the remainder of the agreement and that the abatement would be for seven <br />years, and on a de-escalating basis. Ms. Harris also said the abatement expires on December 31, <br />2020. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Pankaj and seconded by <br />Council Member Knox. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />27. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />There were no future events referenced. <br />28. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member <br />Savage and seconded by Council Member Pilgrim. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays.
