<br />- <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESEN' <br /> <br />This contract, entered into this 9th day of September, <br />1985, by and between the City of Paris, a municipal corpor- <br />ation of the Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter referred to as <br />CITY, and Thomas E, Hunt, III, an attorney licensed to <br />practice law by the State Bar of Texas, a citizen of the <br />City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter called HUNT, <br />wherein the parties contract and agree as follows: <br />1. That HUNT agrees to serve as Municipal Judge <br />regularly from October 1, 1985, through September 30, 1987, <br />said service as Municipal Judge to be in accordance with the <br />Charter of the City of Paris and the laws of the State of <br />Texas. <br />2. That CITY agrees to pay HUNT as compensation for <br />his service as Municipal Judge at the rate of $37,50 per <br />hour with a maximum compensation of $13,100.00 for the <br />twelve (12) month term ending September 30, 1986. The <br />hourly rate beginning October 1, 1986, shall be as budgeted <br />by the City Council of the City of Paris, but not less than <br />$37.50 per hour. <br />3. That HUNT agrees to satisfy the requirement for <br />continuing education required in Article l200f of Vernon's <br />Annotated Texas Statutes and CITY agrees to pay expenses <br />connected with such requirements. Time spent satisfying <br />education requirements is not compensable. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused the <br />contract to be executed this 9th day of September, 1985. <br />
