CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan Street, in Paris, Texas. Due to the CoVID outbreak, jacemasks <br />are encouraged for those in attendance of the meeting in the City Council Chamber. Due to <br />the pandemic concerns, one or all Council Members may be attending remotely, but the feed <br />will be available for live viewing at The matters to be <br />discussed and acted upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless <br />an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to <br />any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person <br />with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as <br />individual personal appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />If necessary, the City Council may convene into Executive Session under Chapter 551 of the Texas <br />Government Code regarding any item on this agenda. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Approve minutes from the meeting of July 11, 2022. <br />6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards and commissions: <br />a. Paris Visitors & Convention Council Board of Directors Meeting (5-16-2022) <br />b. Historic Preservation Commission (6-8-2022) <br />c. Main Street Advisory Board (5-10-2022) <br />d. Building & Standards Commission (6-20-2022) <br />e. Paris -Lamar County Board of Health (2-22-2022, 3-2-2022, & 5-16-2022) <br />f, Paris Economic Development Corporation (6-21-2022) <br />7. Receive June monthly financial report. <br />8. Receive June drainage report. <br />9. Receive demolition and code enforcement activity reports. <br />10. Approve a Resolution approving the submission of an application for an extension of a <br />Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Grant for continuation of the <br />Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force; approving a cash match from the City of Paris in <br />
