WHEREAS, the proposed collector street is insufficient for the planned development of this site, and an Arterial Roadway would better suit said development; and WHEREAS, the developer has petitioned to amend the thoroughfare plan to sup ort the mixed use master ilanned communitv creatinE,� another major e 11#14RIJRRMIR'141� M, 11;"Vllmm�l roensidered a future TXDoT roadway if the City and developer can agree on how to collectively pay for the new construction; and WHEREAS, at its July 5, 2022 meeting, after conducting a public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the minor amendment to the Master Thoroughfare Plan upsizing the Major Collector Roadway to an Arterial Roadway; and WHEREAS, at the July 25, 2022 meeting of the Paris City Council, the City Council, after conducting a public hearing, and having considered the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the testimony and evidence introduced at said public hearing approves a minor amendment to the Master Thoroughfare Plan from a Major Collector Roadway to an Arterial Roadway North of Jefferson Rd. from SE Loop 286 to Collegiate Dr.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY JIF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That a Minor amendment to the Master Thoroughfare Plan from a Major Collector Roadway to an Arterial Roadway North of Jefferson Rd. from SE Loop 286 to Collegiate Dr. be approved.
