<br />RESOLUTION NO. 85-074
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
<br />its Special Meeting on August 27, 1984, authorize the
<br />refurbishing and repair of the Bywaters Park Peristyle; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of January, 1985, the City of
<br />Paris did advertise for and solicit bids for the refur-
<br />bishing of the stone peristyle located in Bywaters Park;
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, only one bid was received, that being from
<br />Harrison, Walker & Harper, it being in the form of a fixed
<br />fee plus cost contract with an estimate of the cost, all of
<br />which was well within the budgetary allocation; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it was deemed to be in the best interest of
<br />the citizens of Paris that Harrison, Walker & Harper, Inc.,
<br />should be and it was awarded at the regular council meeting
<br />on February 11, 1985, which award should be in all things
<br />ratified; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the bid of Harrison, Walker & Harper, Inc., and
<br />the contract reflecting the same, attached hereto as Exhibit
<br />A, heretofore executed by Mayor Joe Graham, should be in all
<br />things ratified; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the execution of the contract with Harrison,
<br />Walker & Harper, Inc., for the refurbishing and repair of
<br />the Peristyle in Bywaters Park is hereby ratified and the
<br />form of such contract, attached hereto as Exhibit A, is in
<br />all things approved.
