CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. Due to the CoVID outbreak facemasks are encouraged for those in attendance of the meeting in the City Council Chamber. Due to the pandemic concerns, one or all Council Members may be attending remotely, but the feed will be available for live viewing at 11 js:// aristexas. µov/public. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. A. Recognition of Mazie Smith's accomplishment in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program with the Paris Public Library. B. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personal appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) If necessary, the City Council may convene into Executive Session under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code regarding any item on this agenda. Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Approve minutes from the meeting of July 25, 2022. 6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards and commissions: a. Love Civic Center Quarterly Reports b. VC&C Quarterly Reports c. Paris Public Library Advisory Board (6-15-2022) d. Planning & Zoning Commission (6-5-2022 & 7-5-2022) 7. Receive the 2022 tax appraisal roll from the Lamar County Appraisal District. 8. Approve a Resolution authorizing assignment of the Airport Ground Lease Agreement for Hangar A-7 from Collin Hadley to Justin and Sara Withers, subject to submission of required insurance and annual lease payment of $400.00.
