RESOLUTION NO. 84 -000 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE <br />FIRST SATURDAY IN APRIL, 1984, SAME BEING THE 7TH DAY OF <br />APRIL, 1984, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 <br />O'CLOCK P.M. , BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF WARDS 1, 2 3 AND 6 <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />ELECTING THE COUNCILMEN FROM EACH OF SAID WARDS TO SERVE AS <br />MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE ENSUING TWO YEARS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified <br />voters of Wards 1,2,3 and 6 of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, on the first Saturday in April, 1984, same being the <br />7th day of April, 1984, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock <br />A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of electing four <br />(4) members of the City Council of the City of Paris for two <br />year terms, as follows: <br />One <br />Councilman <br />from <br />Ward <br />One (1) <br />One <br />Councilman <br />from <br />Ward <br />Two (2) <br />One <br />Councilman <br />from <br />Ward <br />Three (3) <br />One <br />Councilman <br />from <br />Ward <br />Six (6) <br />as provided in Paragraphs 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of Order entered <br />March 15, 1976, in Civil Action No. P- 75 -3 -CA, in the <br />District Court of the United States for the Eastern District <br />of Texas, Paris Division, and as provided in the Charter of <br />the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas wherein <br />they do not conflict with said Order. <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election <br />officials of such election shall be as follows: <br />Ward One (1): <br />Polling Place: T. G. Givens School <br />655 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive <br />Officials: Ralph Rodgers, Presiding Judge <br />C a on Steward, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />Ward Two (2): <br />Polling Place: Solid Rock Baptist Church <br />1135 W. Henderson <br />Officials: John Q. Simpson, Presiding Judge <br />Veola Bradford, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />Ward Three (3): <br />Polling Place: Thomas S. Justiss School <br />401 - 18th Street, N. W. <br />Officials: Hannah Shaeffer, Presiding Judge <br />Evelyn Norris, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />Ward Six (6): <br />Polling Place: Crockett Middle School <br />655 South Collegiate Drive <br />Officials: Martha E.
