APPENDIX A — AMENDMENT 2 SCOPE OF SERVICES General Generally, the Scope of Services for Amendment 2 includes professional services necessary for construction phase services for the recommended improvements to the City of Paris Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) as detailed in the design documents as prepared by Garver under Amendment 1. The designs developed underAmendment 1 were developed with the intention of being constructed under two construction contracts: Construction Package 1 and Construction Package 2. The scope of services for Amendment 2 includes only the construction phase services for Construction Package 1. The planned improvements in Construction Package 1 include the modification and refurbishment of existing facilities as well as construction of new facilities atthe existing WWTP to meet the targeted capacity and treatment criteria for baseline improvements to the existing WWTP and to prepare for Construction Package 2. The improvements in Construction Package 1 include the rehabilitation, modification, or construction of the following: • Influent splitter box • Primary clarifiers • Primary sludge pump station • Aeration basins, aeration basin blowers, and electrical building • Mixed liquor splitter box • Final clarifiers • RASNVAS pump station • Sludge dewatering building and equipment • Recycle flow pump station • Non -potable water pump station • Sludge holding tanks and blowers The project includes an associated array of piping enhancements and civil/yard enhancements, together with electrical, instrumentation, and control enhancements to develop a complete and functional facility capable of treating 7.25 MGD permitted design flow. 1. Construction Phase Services for Construction Package 1 1.1. Construction Administration During the construction phase of work, Garver will accomplish the following: • Issue a Notice to Proceed letter to the Contractor and attend preconstruction meeting. • Prepare for and attend utilities coordination meeting. • Attend progress/coordination meetings with the Owner/Contractor. • Evaluate and respond to construction material submittals and shop drawings. Corrections or comments made by Consultant on the shop drawings during this review will not relieve Contractor from compliance with requirements of the drawings and specifications. The check will only be for review of general conformance with the design concept of the project and general compliance with the information given in the contract documents. The Contractor will be responsible for confirming and correlating all quantities and dimensions, selecting fabrication processes and techniques of construction, coordinating his work with that of all other trades, and performing his work in a safe and satisfactory manner.
