The public hearing was declared open. Shawn Napier with EST, Inc. spoke on behalf of <br />the applicant in favor of the "item. Napier states this is a proposed 20 -unit apartment <br />complex with two -three stories. They have proposed three separate entrances into the site <br />to alleviate traffic. With no one else speaking the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion to approve this petition was made by Sims Norment, seconded by Austin <br />Anthony. Motion earned 6-0. <br />5. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Walnut Creek <br />Business Park, Inc3, for a change in zoning from a One -Family Dwelling District No. <br />3(SF-3) to a Multiple -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (MF -2) in the City of Paris, Block <br />266, Lot 3, and the adjacent 60 ft. strip of land running between the Wilshire Addition on <br />.A 1" <br />the West and the Ella Kay Addition on ine Last', located at 1335 NE 20th Street,, LCAD <br />18332. <br />Andrew Mack states the zoning change will accommodate the highest density for multi <br />family residential. This is a proper transition for this area and additional dwellings ar <br />needed in the community. Staff recommends approval of the zoning change. I <br />The public hearing was declared open. Jill & Gary Anderson spoke in opposition citin <br />concerns of increased population and traffic. With no one else speaking the public hearin <br />was declared closed. I <br />A motion was made by Francine Neeley, seconded by S ims Norment to approve the zonin <br />change. Motion carried 6-0. <br />6. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Cola Residential <br />Investments and Lydia Fitzgerald on behalf of Bart Chadwick for a Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment from Retail (R) to High Density Residential (HDR), 'in the A786 R Russell <br />Survey, Tract 25-1-A, Acres 3.839 Route 1, locatedin the 2800 Block of Stillhouse Rd. <br />LC1) 404759. <br />Andrew Mack states the applicant seeks a minor amendment to the future land use map. <br />Staff recommends approval as 'it is consistent with the existing development to the East. <br />The public hearing was declared open. With no one else speaking, the public hearing was <br />declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Austin Anthony, seconded by Tylesha Ross -Mosley to approve the <br />0 <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment.
