Item Nos. 14-20 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem & City Council & Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: SOLID WASTE COLLECTION PERMITS <br />DATE: September 12, 2022 <br />BACKGROUND: Article 12.04 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris regulates the <br />collecting and transporting of solid waste from commercial and industrial units within the City of <br />Paris. Article 12.04 requires that a person or entity must first obtain a solid waste collection <br />permit from the City prior to using the public streets, alleys or thoroughfares within the corporate <br />limits of the City. Solid waste collection permits expire September 30th of each year. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The following persons/entities have filed an application, submitted the <br />required certificate of liability insurance and are current on use fees: <br />JOTS Rentals, L.L.C. <br />Sanitation Solutions, Inc. <br />County Waste Collection, LLC <br />M.J. Outdoors <br />Dumpster Drop, LLC <br />Countryside Disposal, LLC <br />Trash -Away Dumpster Rentals, LLC <br />BUDGET: NA. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Ordinances authorizing the issuance of a solid waste <br />collection permit for each of the persons/entities listed above. <br />Item Nos. 14-20 will each require a separate vote and requires five affirmative votes for <br />passage. <br />
