construction, the floors have been fixed with 2x6's and 2x8's and is level, the <br />inside is painted, there are no leaks, the back of the structure is open because it's <br />meant to be a BBQ pit and the back has siding on it and the red building will be a <br />sno-cone stand. Mr. Gaffney needs more time because a motorcycle wreck slowed <br />him down. The tin has been bought and will be put up September 15'h after a <br />building permit is secured. Mr. Gaffney asked for six week once the September <br />15ffi start date. Mr. Gaffney plans to work on electrical bike/battery repairs, which <br />will be a commercial business. Andrew Mack (Director of Planning and Zoning) <br />asked if the business will be open to the public. Mr. Gaffney said yes he will be <br />building batteries and will need pluming and electricity. <br />Robert Talley stated there are two structure. Small shed has missing deteriorated <br />wood, the back of the structure is missing, floor is missing and the main structure <br />has missing and deteriorated wood, the structure is splitting, has foundation <br />damage and there is lot of junk and rubbish on the property. <br />Adam Bolton asked if Mr. Gaffney has the means to clean up the trash, junk and <br />rubbish and Mr. Gaffney said yes. <br />Chris Fitzgerald asked if a building permit has been applied for yet and Mr. <br />Gaffney said no. <br />Reeves Hayter had concerns that Mr. Gaffney might invest a lot of money on the <br />outside of the structures and the structure require more than he can fix inside due <br />to expenses. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo both structures <br />within 30 days, or city has right to do so. Declare the junk and rubbish a nuisance <br />and remove within 30 days, or city has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Reeves Hayter, seconded by Adam Bolton to allow 30 days to <br />obtain a building permit and get all Junk and Rubbish cleaned up on the <br />property, then the property will come back to the commission in the <br />September 2022 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 6-0 <br />J. 805 Lamar; City Block 187, Lot 2 <br />Owner: Mary H Dennis & Peggy J Hearne 1726 Graham Paris, TX 75460 Peggy <br />Hearne was present. <br />Robert Talley stated house burned, fire damage and the fire went through the top. <br />Mrs. Hearne stated that the structure caught on fire July 19, 2022 and she is still <br />waiting on the insurance company to release the structure. She asked for 60 days to <br />deal with the insurance company and remove her items that are salvageable. <br />Andrew Mack (Community Development Director) asked what Mrs. Hearne's <br />intent was with the property once the structure is demolished. Mr. Hearne said to <br />sell the lot. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or <br />
