<br />Paris Visitors and Convention Council Board of Directors Meeting <br />8 West Plaza <br />August 15, 2022 <br />4:00 PM <br /> <br />Members Present: Russell Jackson, John Bratcher, Mihir Pankaj, Bryan Hargis, Ryan Whitaker, Lea <br />Emerson, Brad Hilliard, Cary Lott, Brittney Keys, and Tim Walsworth. <br />Staff Present: Paul Allen and Gina Crawford. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. <br />Minutes: A motion to approve June minutes was made by Tim Walsworth, seconded by Brittany Keys. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Financials: Russell Jackson presented the June financials. A motion to approve was made by Mark <br />Pankaj, seconded by Brad Hilliard. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Paul Allen presented a funding request from Nicole and Charlie Gambulos for Bug Tussle, Aug 27-28, <br />2022. Based on the scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1450.00 was made by Tim Walsworth, <br />seconded by Brad Hilliard. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen presented a funding request from Women’s Professional Golf Tournament at Paris Country <br />Club, September 19-23, 2022. Based on the scoring criteria, a motion to approve $2220.00 was made by <br />Tim Walsworth, seconded by Cary Lott. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen presented a funding request from Red River Valley Veterans for the Oak Ridge Boys concert, <br />October 1, 2022. Based on the scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1600.00 was made by Brittney <br />Keys, seconded by Brad Hilliard. Motion passed unanimously <br />Paul Allen presented a funding request from Cheri Bedford for the Festival of Pumpkins, October 22, <br />2022. Based on the scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1815.00 was made by Tim Walsworth, <br />seconded by John Bratcher. Motion passed unanimously <br />Paul Allen presented a funding request from Red River Valley Veterans for the Oak Ridge Boys concert, <br />October 1, 2022. Based on the scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1600.00 was made by Brittney <br />Keys, seconded by Brad Hilliard. Motion passed unanimously <br />Old Business: Paul Allen stated that 903 concerts were a success, Gene Watson will be coming in <br />September and the TX BBQ Blast will be in December. <br />Future business: Bryan Hargis stated that TMBRA is moving ahead and he is looking for sponsors. <br />Adjourn: Brad Hilliard made a motion to adjourn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:28 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, Gina Crawford <br />
