Work Program <br />Throughout the entire work program a representative from the project <br />team will report biweekly to the City Council at their scheduled public <br />hearing to fully inform the city and county of the progress of the <br />survey. <br />Part I <br />Orientation - September 4 - 5 <br />Project team will conduct preliminary research to establish context and <br />particular requirements for conducting field survey. Research will also <br />be done to see how much information is available from local historic <br />groups, individuals, and historic commissions that may be useful in <br />survey. Local historic maps, Paris planning and zoning maps and other <br />information of this type will be sought for use in the field. <br />Field Survey - September 6 12 <br />Project team will survey and inventory the entire city of Paris by driving <br />and walking recording all pre 1940 cultural and historic resources. The <br />project team will identify <br />1) Primary resources eligible for listing on the National Register or . <br />for State or local individual designation. <br />2) Background resources that are not individually significant but which <br />in groups contribute to potential historic districts or urban conservation <br />districts. <br />3) Cultural resources which do not immediately qualify for National <br />Register but are of threshold significance. Close contact will be <br />maintained with local officials and local historic groups throughout <br />this segment of the work program. <br />Research and Processing Field Survey Results - September 13 - 28 <br />Field notes and photographs will be processed and set on survey cards <br />and collated in appropriate sequence. Mapped information will be clarified <br />and graphically represented in a presentation format. <br />Field Survey <br />and Research Adjustments <br />- October <br />1 - 3 <br />Project team will return to Paris verification <br />and make necessary <br />adjustments <br />to the survey findings and <br />visually test planning recommendations. <br />Publication - October 3 - 28 <br />The Project team will prepare maps, written material, photographs and <br />other informatiuon for final publication in a bound 8 -1i2" x 11" and 17" <br />format. <br />Presentation to City of Paris - November Public Hearing <br />-6- <br />.J..: <br />
