s t ti AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN CITY OF PARIS AND CHIEN ASSOCIATES, INC., DATED MAY 10, 1982 STATE OF TEXAS § KNOW ALI, MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: COUNTY OF LAMAR § That the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, a municipal corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, Joe Graham, and Chien Associates, Inc., 6362 Windswept, Suite 208, Houston, Texas 77057, acting by and through its President, J. S. Chien, duly authorized, do contract and agree to amend their contract dated May 10, 1982, in the following particulars: MAXIMUM TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT The maximum total contract amount is increased by $15,500.00 from $155,000.00 to $170,500.00. It is expressly agreed, understood and represented that the $15,500.00 increase is the cost plus direct expense of performing the service described in the additional Scope of Work described below and said increase contains no profit. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work is amended to include the following in connection with engineering design efforts for the implementation of the Wastewater Facility Plan as amended: 1. Evaluate the feasibility of gravity sewering the Northwest Drainage Basin. 2. Prepare plans and specifications for the rehabilitation of three additional existing pump stations. 3. Prepare individual construction contracts for each of eleven individual pump station projects. It is understood these design services are provided for under Section L entitled "Other Design Services" in the original Chien Associates, Inc., proposal for professional services dated February 26, 1982, and numbered 80116.
