submitted by the city manager shall be deemed to have been finally adopted by the council. <br />§ 53-5 Effective date of budget; certification; copies made available. <br />Upon final adoption, the budget shall be in effect for the fiscal year. A copy of the budget, as <br />finally adopted, shall be filed with the city clerk, the eoun `• ^'erL of Lamar- Count`-, and the <br />state comptFeller- of public accounts atAus. The final budget shall be printed, <br />^'wed ^H otherwise "epr-od eed and a reasonable number of copies shall be made <br />available for the use of all offices, departments and agencies and for the use of interested persons <br />and civic organizations. <br />Ordinance No. 2022-084 enacted 11/14/2022, Prop. I, Ordinance No. 2022-_ enacted <br />12/12/2022. <br />§ 546 Budget establishes appropriations. <br />From the effective date of the budget, the several amounts stated therein as proposed <br />expenditures shall be and become appropriated to the several objects and purposes therein <br />named. <br />§ 55-7 Budget establishes amount to be raised by property tax. <br />From the effective date of the budget, the amount stated therein as the amount to be raised by <br />property tax shall constitute a determination of the amount of the levy for the purposes of the <br />city, in the corresponding tax year. <br />§ 568 Contingent appropriation. <br />Provision shall be made in the annual budget and in the appropriation ordinance for a contingent <br />appropriation in an amount not more than three (3) percent of the total general fund <br />expenditure, to be used in case of unforeseen items of expenditures. Such contingent <br />appropriation shall be under the control of the city manager and distributed by him or herafter <br />approval by the city council. A detailed account of such expenditures shall be recorded and <br />reported to the city council. The proceeds of the contingent appropriation shall be disbursed <br />only by transfer to other departmental appropriation, the spending of which shall be charged to <br />the departments or activities for which the appropriations are made. <br />(Resolution 2007-055 adopted 5/21/07, Prop. 33) <br />§ 57-9 Estimated expenditures shall not exceed estimated resources. <br />The total estimated expenditures of the general fund and debt service fund shall not exceed the <br />total estimated resources of each fund (prospective income plus cash on hand). The classification <br />of revenue and expenditure accounts shall conform as nearly as local conditions will permit to <br />the uniform classification as promulgated by the National Committee on Munieipal <br />Aeeounfing, or- some Ather a nationally accepted classification 11rogram. <br />Ordinance No. 2022-084 enacted 11/14/2022, Prop.
