2023-003 - Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendments to the Future Land Use Map

WHEREAS, in October of 2018, the City Council adopted significant revisions to the Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Plan; and WHEREAS, on January 3, 2023 the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing to review and consider a request to make the following minor Comprehensive Plan amendments to the Future Land Use Plan Map as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference and recommended to the City Council approval of same: • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Medium Density Residential (MDR) on LCAD parcel 18408, • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 18392, 39576, and 18406; • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from part of Low Density Residential (LDR) to Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 119049, 18402, 39538, and 38005; • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Public Land And Institutions (PLI) on LCAD parcel 121817; • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Split Commercial (C) and Low Density Residential (LDR) to Public Lands And Institutions (PLI), and, WHEREAS, on January 23, 2023, the City Council of the City of Paris held a public hearing to receive input from the citizens of the City of Paris regarding the proposed minor amendments to the Comprehensive Plan the Future Land Use Map; and, WHEREAS, following the public hearing and consideration of the proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map for the City of Paris and the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, the City Council determined that these amendments would be in the best interest of the Citm of Paris and its citizensand-th -a same should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section Z® That the Future Land Use Plan Map of the City's Comprehensive Plan be amended as follows as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference: • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Medium Density Residential (MDR) on LCAD parcel 18408; • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 18392, 39576, and 18406, • A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from part of Low Density Residential (LDR) to Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 119049, 18402, 39538, and 38005;
