WHEREAS, in October of 2018, the City Council adopted significant revisions to the <br />Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 3, 2023 the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public <br />hearing to review and consider a request to make the following minor Comprehensive Plan <br />amendments to the Future Land Use Plan Map as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference and recommended to the City Council approval of same: <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Medium Density Residential (MDR) on LCAD parcel 18408, <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 18392, 39576, and 18406; <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from part of Low Density Residential <br />(LDR) to Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 119049, 18402, 39538, and 38005; <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Public Land And Institutions (PLI) on LCAD parcel 121817; <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Split Commercial (C) and Low <br />Density Residential (LDR) to Public Lands And Institutions (PLI), and, <br />WHEREAS, on January 23, 2023, the City Council of the City of Paris held a public <br />hearing to receive input from the citizens of the City of Paris regarding the proposed minor <br />amendments to the Comprehensive Plan the Future Land Use Map; and, <br />WHEREAS, following the public hearing and consideration of the proposed <br />amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map for the City of Paris and the <br />recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, the City Council determined that <br />these amendments would be in the best interest of the Citm of Paris and its citizensand-th -a <br />same should be approved. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section Z® That the Future Land Use Plan Map of the City's Comprehensive Plan <br />be amended as follows as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference: <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Medium Density Residential (MDR) on LCAD parcel 18408; <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 18392, 39576, and 18406, <br />• A Minor Comprehensive Plan Amendment from part of Low Density Residential <br />(LDR) to Commercial (C) on LCAD parcels 119049, 18402, 39538, and 38005; <br />
