Paris Visitors and Convention Council Board of Directors Meeting <br />8 West Plaza <br />November 21st, 2022 <br />4:00 PM <br />Members Present: Chase Coleman, Ryan Whitaker, Mihir Pankaj, Trey Glascock, Cary Lott, Kelli McDonald, Trevor <br />Huie, Bud Mistry, Bradley Hilliard, Bryan Hargis, Eric Guillot, Robbie Todd, and Tim Walsworth. <br />Staff Present: Paul Allen, Becky Semple, Gina Crawford. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. <br />Minutes: A motion to approve October minutes was made by Chase Coleman, seconded by Tim Walsworth. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Financials: Chase Coleman presented the October financials. A motion to approve was made by Trey Glascock, <br />seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for the Texas K9 Mondioring Trial Dog Show on December 5-11`", 2022. <br />Based on the scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1280.00 was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Mihir <br />Pankaj. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for Paris High Basketball Tournament on December 28-30`", 2022. It <br />was determined since they successfully put many heads in beds that the VCC would award them with $5000. A <br />motion was made by Trevor Huie, seconded by Chase Coleman. Motion passed unanimously <br />Becky Semple presented a funding request for Slade Baker Memorial Crawfish Cookoff on May 5 -6th. Based on the <br />scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1875.00 was made by Tim Walsworth, seconded by Robbie Todd. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Old Business: Paul Allen stated that we will continue to look into grants and information on electric vehicle <br />charging stations. <br />Becky Semple stated we need to add to the committee for the Paris Solar Eclipse in 2024. The committee consists <br />of Bud Mistry, Mihir Pankaj, Eric Guillot, Tony Corso and Dustin Broadway. <br />Paul Allen stated the TX BBQ event has 27 teams so far and we expect that to grow. <br />Paul Allen stated there would be no VCC meeting in December. <br />Future business: <br />Adeourn: Ryan Whitaker made a motion to adjourn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:29 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, Gina Crawford <br />
