Commissioner Coyle stated he could take care of digitizing if necessary. <br />She also spoke with Judge Hunt who recommended to research City Directory to see who <br />used to live in the area. Other suggestions were Plug Clem and Ken Kohl's, Louise <br />Hagood's son in law. <br />Commissioner Vandiver outlined steps for the designation: The HPC will hold a public <br />hearing and make recommendation to add a historic overlay zone on Pine Bluff and <br />Fitzhugh National Register District on May 10, 2023. The information will be given to <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to be heard on June 5`h for approval or disapproval. <br />Pending approval, the item will go to the City Council on June 26, 2023. <br />Ms. Bedford gave a report on facade grants and application process. Given the City Council <br />strategic plan and the increase in budget, the commission is charged to review the amounts and <br />make recommendations for increases to the amount to promote appropriate rehabilitation with <br />additional funds for incentives. <br />The information for the grant is being updated to include important preservation components that <br />would be helpful to guide rehabilitation. The reimbursement requirements will also be spelled <br />out to remove confusion. Cheri has put together a jotform for online submission to be tested. <br />The form so far seems to be user friendly <br />Research on what other cities do for grants will be provided to the commission in a drop box for <br />their review and recommend changes in the amounts in their February 8th meeting. The budgeted <br />amount and the individual project amounts will need to be addressed. <br />The information for the statewide Imagine the Possibilities webinar shared. Commissioner Dux, <br />Caffey and Coyle committed to attend and begin the planning. <br />The Texas Historical Commission annual report will be sent out to the commissioners to review <br />before it is filled out. It is due on February 201 <br />Ms. Bedford will send all the information in a drop box link after the meeting adjourns. <br />December 12, 2023 the First Federal Community Bank was recognized as a Texas Treasure <br />Business during the City Council meeting. <br />Street striping will change on Clarksville. <br />Andrew Mack informed the Commission the vacant building inspections and registry is <br />underway in both the residential and commercial districts.
