No. 7 IMI�ffx R, R "M11171 TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem & City Council FROM: Grayson Path, City Manager SUBJECT: Love Civic Center Renovation Project Final Change Order DATE: February 13, 2023 BACKGROUND: On February 14, 2022, the City of Paris awarded a contract to Tegrity Contractors, Inc. for the Love Civic Center Renovation Project. The project consisted of new flooring, bathrooms, painting, ADA upgrades, ceiling tiles, and other renovation work throughout the entire building. The project subsequently proceeded and was completed near the end of 2022. The project went very smoothly and representatives from both the City and Chamber of Commerce are very pleased with the final product. Tegrity Contractors, Inc. did an excellent job and were outstanding to work with. They were dedicated to the job, stayed in close communication with the City, worked diligently through all issues, and maintained an excellent professional relationship with the City, Architect, and Chamber of Commerce. STATUS OF ISSUE: With the completion of the project, WRA Architects, our contracted architectural firm, has finalized the final combined change order document for City Council review and approval. Compiling all change orders, there was a net decrease of $20,403.00, taking the total contract amount from $1,398,454.00 to $1,378,051.00. BUDGET: The total contract awarded to Tegrity Contractors, Inc. was in the amount of $1,398,454.00. At the start of the project, the City had a remaining balance in the bond of $1,177,800.00. The excess beyond this bond was funded by the Chamber of Commerce via our agreement approved by the City Council on February 14, 2022. The attached change order will reduce the contract amount to $1,378,051.00, a reduction of $20,403.00.
