MINUTES OF THE REGULAR HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS February 8, 2023 The Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. Present: Board Members: Chris Dux, Matthew Coyle, Linda Vandiver, Jennifer Long, Jessica Holtman, Glee Emmite City Staff: Cheri Bedford, Historic Preservation Officer; Andrew Mack, Director of Planning & Community Development; Rob Vine, Assistant City Manager; Linda Knox, District Council Member Absent: Board Member: Laura Caffey, Ryan Matthews Guests: Sandra Ables, Courtney Farmer Call meeting to order Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. 2. Citizens Forum No one came forward to speak at citizens forum Review and approve the minutes of the January 11, 2023 meeting. The minutes of the January 11, 2023 meeting were approved by acclamation 4. Review and take action on the Verification of Construction form for property located at 131-135 Lamar Ave, removal of window slip covers, evaluation of windows, and replacement in kind, paint the windows and property,. The Commission reviewed all the applicable fagade work that was approved and completed for the Tax Exemption for the Rehabilitation of Historic Structures by property owner Ms. Karolyn Moore on the Certificate of Appropriateness COA-22-1003, removal of metal slipcover on transom windows, evaluate, and replace with approved custom wooden window to match the existing transoms. A motion to approve this item was made by Commissioner Holtman and seconded by Commissioner Emmite. Motion Carried 6 ayes -0 nays. 5. Review and take action on the Fagade grant reimbursement in the amount of $2500 for 30 E. Price, & 140 N. Main painting exterior structure.
