MINUTES OF THE REGULAR HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />February 8, 2023 <br />The Historic Preservation Commission of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 <br />p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, <br />Texas. <br />Present: Board Members: Chris Dux, Matthew Coyle, Linda Vandiver, <br />Jennifer Long, Jessica Holtman, Glee Emmite <br />City Staff: Cheri Bedford, Historic Preservation Officer; <br />Andrew Mack, Director of Planning & Community <br />Development; Rob Vine, Assistant City Manager; <br />Linda Knox, District Council Member <br />Absent: Board Member: Laura Caffey, Ryan Matthews <br />Guests: Sandra Ables, Courtney Farmer <br />Call meeting to order <br />Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. <br />2. Citizens Forum <br />No one came forward to speak at citizens forum <br />Review and approve the minutes of the January 11, 2023 meeting. <br />The minutes of the January 11, 2023 meeting were approved by acclamation <br />4. Review and take action on the Verification of Construction form for property located at <br />131-135 Lamar Ave, removal of window slip covers, evaluation of windows, and <br />replacement in kind, paint the windows and property,. <br />The Commission reviewed all the applicable fagade work that was approved and <br />completed for the Tax Exemption for the Rehabilitation of Historic Structures by property owner <br />Ms. Karolyn Moore on the Certificate of Appropriateness COA-22-1003, removal of metal <br />slipcover on transom windows, evaluate, and replace with approved custom wooden window to <br />match the existing transoms. <br />A motion to approve this item was made by Commissioner Holtman and seconded by <br />Commissioner Emmite. Motion Carried 6 ayes -0 nays. <br />5. Review and take action on the Fagade grant reimbursement in the amount of $2500 for 30 <br />E. Price, & 140 N. Main painting exterior structure. <br />
