ORDINANCE NO. 2023-014 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 2019-045 TO CORRECT THE PROPERTY DESCRIPTION OF TAX <br />INCREMENT REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE DESIGNATED <br />THEREIN; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS; AND OTHER MATTERS <br />RELATED THERETO. <br />WHEREAS, on November 11, 2019, pursuant to the Tax Increment Financing Act, <br />Chapter 311 of the Texas Tax Code, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas passed <br />Ordinance No. 2019-045 designating Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. One (the <br />"Zone") and establishing a board of directors for the zone; and <br />WHEREAS, there were certain errors in the property description of the Zone <br />attached to said ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to correct said errors; and <br />WHEREAS, said amendments neither enlarge nor reduce the area within the Zone; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this <br />ordinance are hereby found and declared to be true and correct. <br />Section 2. That Ordinance No. 2019-045 is hereby amended by replacing Exhibit A <br />thereto, the property description of the Zone, with the attached new Exhibit A, and by <br />replacing Exhibit B thereto, the map of the Zone, with the attached new Exhibit B. Both <br />Exhibit A and Exhibit B are incorporated herein by reference for all purposes. <br />Section 3. That the City the amendments made herein correct inaccuracies in the <br />exhibits to Ordinance 2019-045 and do not enlarge or reduce the Zone. <br />Section 4. That the remainder of Ordinance 2019-045 shall remain unchanged. <br />Section S. That if any section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall <br />for any reason be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the invalidity or unenforceability of <br />such section, paragraph, clause or provision shall not affect any of the remaining provisions <br />of this Ordinance. <br />Section 6. That the repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances affected by the <br />enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action now pending <br />under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, or altering <br />
