Exceptions: <br />1. {No change.} <br />2. {No change.} <br />3. Notification of teachers/staff having supervision of light- or sound -sensitive <br />students/occupants, such as those on the autism spectrum, for the protection of those <br />students/occupants, shall be allowed prior to conducting a drill. <br />Amend Section 501.4, Timing of installation, to read as follows: <br />501.4 Timing of installation. When fire apparatus access roads or a water supply for fire <br />protection is required to be installed for any structure or development, they shall be installed, <br />tested, and approved prior to the time of which construction has progressed beyond <br />completion of the foundation of any structure. When approved alternative methods of <br />protection are required during the time of construction such protection shall be installed and <br />remain serviceable prior to and during construction as required. Temporary street signs shall be <br />installed at each street intersection when construction of new roadways allows passage by <br />vehicles in accordance with Section 505.2. <br />Amend Section, 503.1.1 Buildings and facilities, by adding the following sentence at the end of <br />paragraph 1, and add paragraphs 2 and 3 to read asfollows: <br />Section 5.03.1.1 Buildings and facilities. [Existing text unchanged.] <br />Except for one or two-family dwellings, the path of measurement shall be along a minimum of a <br />10 feet (3048 mm) wide unobstructed pathway around the external walls of the structure. <br />Fire lanes provided during the platting process shall be so indicated on the plat. Where fire lanes <br />currently exist, the limits of the fire lane shall be shown on a site plan or plat and placed on <br />permanent file with the Fire Marshal and City Engineer. <br />No owner or person in charge of any premises served by a fire lane or access easement shall <br />abandon, restrict or close any fire lane or easement without first securing from the City of Paris <br />approval of an amended plat or other acceptable legal instrument showing removal of the fire lane. <br />[The "Exceptions" to Section 503.1.1 shall remain as written.] <br />Amend Section 503.2.1, Dimensions, to read as follows: <br />503.2.1 Dimensions. Fire apparatus access roads shall have an unobstructed width of not less <br />than 24 feet (7315 mm), exclusive of shoulders, except for approved security gates in accordance <br />with Section 503.6, and an unobstructed vertical clearance of not less than 14 feet (4267 mm). <br />Exception: Vertical clearance may be reduced; provided such reduction does not impair access <br />by fire apparatus and approved signs are installed and maintained indicating the established <br />vertical clearance when approved. <br />
