In unsprinklered group B occupancies, corridor walls and ceilings need not be of fire -resistive <br />construction within a single tenant space when the space is equipped with approved automatic <br />smoke -detection within the corridor. The actuation of any detector must activate self - <br />annunciating alarms audible in all areas within the corridor. Smoke detectors must be connected <br />to an approved automatic fire alarm system where such system is provided. <br />Add Exception 4 to Section 1030.1.1.1, Spaces under grandstands and bleachers, to read asfollows: <br />Section 1030.1.1.1 Spaces under grandstands and bleachers. <br />Exceptions: <br />1. through 3. {No change.} <br />4. Where alternate means or methods are submitted to and approved by the Building and Fire <br />Officials. <br />Amend Section 1032.2, Reliability, to read as follows: <br />1032.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits and exit discharges shall be continuously <br />maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other <br />emergency. An exit or exit passageway shall not be used for any purpose that interferes with a <br />means of egress. <br />Amend Section 1103.3, Existing Elevators, by adding a sentence to end of the paragraph as follows: <br />Section 1103.3 Existing Elevators.... Provide emergency signage as required by Section 604.4. <br />
