Amend Sections 3007.3, Water protection, and 3008.3, Water protection, by deleting
<br />"enclosed" as follows:

<br />Section 3. That Chapter 4, "Building Regulations," Article 4.02, "Construction
<br />Codes," Division 3, "Residential Code," as it now exists shall and is hereby repealed and
<br />replaced with the following text:

<br />Residential Code
<br />§ 4.02.061 Residential Code Adopted.
<br />(a) Definition. For purposes of this division, ihfeii^.�gde�'�ns shal-11 apply:
<br />"Residential code" shall means the 2019 2021 International Residential Code
<br />(sometimes referred to as the IRC), including any and all amendments, revisions or
<br />revised additions to the r 2021 International Residential Code.
<br />(b) Adoption. In conformance with V.T.C.A., Local Government Code, chapter 214,
<br />subchapter G, sections 214.211 through 214.214, the r 2021 International
<br />Residential Code, including appendices A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, 1, J, K, L, M, N, 0, P, Q R, S, T,
<br />U and AQ, is hereafter adopted as the municipal residential building code for the city.
<br />The 201 S 2021 International Residential Code shall apply to all construction, alteration,
<br />movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, location, removal and
<br />demolition of detached one- and two-family dwellings and multiple single-family
<br />dwellings (townhouses) not more than three stories in height with separate means of
<br />egress as therein provided in the city. The city council may establish procedures to
<br />adopt local amendments to the International Residential Code and for the
<br />administration and enforcement of the International Residential Code. The
<br />International Residential Code shall not apply to the installation and maintenance of
<br />electrical wiring and related components.
<br />(c) Copies on file. Copies of the 2019 2021 International Residential Code will be maintained
<br />on file in the office of the planning and development department and may be viewed
<br />online at htt s://codes.iccsafe.or codes i-codes/2021-icode, and the provisions
