local amendments as set forth in this Article. Copies of the Codes and the amendments thereto, as <br />referenced herein, are on file in the office of the City Clerk, City of Paris for permanent record and <br />inspection. These copyrighted standards and recommendations are adopted and designated as <br />the official Fire Code of the City of Paris, except to the extent they are in conflict with any <br />controlling Federal or State law. The standards are published by and are available from the <br />International Code Council, Country Club Hills, Illinois. A copy of the 2021 International Fire Code <br />along with a copy of the amendments adopted herein shall be kept in each of the following <br />locations: The Paris City Library, the City Clerk's office, the Paris Fire Marshal's office and the <br />office of the City Building Official." <br />Section 3. That Section 6.04.003, "Fire Code Amendments," of Chapter 6, Article 6.04, <br />"Fire Code," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris as is currently constituted is hereby <br />repealed, and same is hereby replaced in its entirety as follows: <br />"Sec. 6.04.003 Fire Code Amendments. <br />The following local amendments repeal or add sections to the 2021 International Fire Code. <br />These amendments shall supersede, replace and/or supplement the 2021 International Fire Code <br />as follows: <br />Section 101.1, Title, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"These regulations shall be known as the FIRE CODE of the City of Paris, Texas hereinafter referred <br />to as 'this Code."' <br />Amend item 3 of Section 102.1, Construction and design provision, to read as follows: <br />3. Existing structures, facilities, and conditions where required in Chapter 11 or..Jnmm.! e12g is <br />sections of this code. <br />Amend Section 102.7, Referenced codes and standards, to add Section 102.7.3, Amendments to <br />referenced codes and standards, to read as follows: <br />102.7.3 Amendments to referenced codes and standards. Whenever amendments have <br />been adopted to the referenced codes and standards, each reference to said code and standard <br />shall be considered to reference the amendments as well. Any reference to NFPA 70 (National <br />Electrical Code) shall mean the Electrical Code as adopted by the City of Paris." <br />Amend Section 105.3.3, Occupancy prohibited before approval, to read as follows: <br />105.3.3 Occupancy prohibited before approval. A building or structure shall not be occupied <br />prior to the fire code official issuing a permit when reguired. and conducting associated inspections <br />indicating the applicable provisions of this code have been met. <br />
