Receive Activity Report from Tracy Dougherty on Paris Downtown Association. Cinco <br />de Mayo Margarita crawl is May 5h 6:00 — 9:00pm. Danielle Terrain, Fine and Dandy, is <br />coordinator. All proceeds will benefit Child Advocacy Center. Music and food on the <br />Plaza. PDA is currently researching putting a map kiosk on the Plaza. The next PDA <br />meeting is April 18"' at 8:30arn at Rosewood Caf6. <br />Receive Activity Report from Glee Emmite regarding HPC. First Baptist Church <br />received funds to repair steps and rear of building. Also approved a $2,500 fagade grant <br />for FBC. HPC has hosted several meetings on commercial buildings, fagade grants and <br />tax credits. <br />Receive Activity report from Becky Semple. People are already calling the Chamber <br />about the April 8, 2024 eclipse. A quilt show Mother's Day, a pump track race possibly <br />at the end of April, possibly a Jet ski race, first time, this summer at Lake Crook. Tour de <br />Paris is July 151h <br />7. Receive Main Street Coordinator's Report from Cheri Bedford. Cheri attended the <br />National Main Street Conference in Boston. The biggest takeaway was the magnitude of <br />the eclipse event. Heard of an opportunity to apply for a $ 10,000 grant for eclipse <br />promotion. She has lots of ideas on how to promote and profit from this opportunity. <br />Encouraged board to listen to the audio from the workshop made available on drop box. <br />Main Street Board needs to start planning. Work plan retreat — community strategies are <br />good but need to look at where needs improvement. Wine Fest is April 15t". Need more <br />volunteers. 275 tickets sold. Glee needs one more musician. The Point, a Main Street <br />America newsletter, is available to board members to look at other main street <br />communities. Public Meeting Pine Bluff/Fitzhugh is April 27 th 5:30prn at Church of God <br />in Christ. Will discuss what it means to be a historic community. Walking Tour included. <br />Imagine the Possibilities — May 13'h, 12:30 — 4:00 pm. Celebrate buildings under <br />renovation, for sale or lease. Historic marker celebrating first Coca Cola served in Texas. <br />Texas Country Reporter will be there to video dedication of historic marker. Paris Arts <br />Alliance partnered with Brad and Lisa Archer to paint a mural on the wall of their <br />property on Bonham St. Farmer's Market restroom painted. Main St Manager would like <br />the board more involved in the quarterly reports. <br />Receive Report from Andrew Mack — July 281h (tentatively) Main St event — Farmer's <br />Market Music Festival. The Paris Area Arts Alliance organize an art fair. A free concert. <br />Chad Lindsey and Greg Kee volunteered to participate in planning event. <br />8. Adjournment at 5:25pm. <br />
