MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />April 17, 2023 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at <br />4:00 p.m. on March 20, 2023, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West <br />Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Trey Glascock, Bryan Hargis, Bud Mistry, Kelli McDonald, Eric <br />Guillot, Bradley Hilliard, Mihir Pankaj, Ryan Whitaker, Robbie Todd, Chadlee Johnston and <br />Russell Jackson. <br />City Representatives: Paula Portugal <br />Absent: Board Members: Dustin Broadway and Tim Walsworth <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum. <br />There was no one present for citizens' forum. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of March 20, 2023. A motion to approve was made <br />by Trey Glascock, seconded by Mihir Pankaj. Motion carried. 10 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financial report from March 2023, by Russell Jackson. A motion to approve was <br />made by Mihir Pankaj, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion carried. 10 ayes. 0 nays. <br />5. Discuss and act on funding request for Paris Breakfast Optimist Club, June and July events. <br />Based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2125 for the Open DYB All Star Warm <br />up tournament; $2300 for the Dixie Youth Baseball North Division 2; $2300 for the Dixie <br />Youth Baseball North Division l; $1000 for the Dixie Youth Baseball North Division 2 <br />Ozone; $1000 for the Dixie Baseball North Division 1, a motion to approve was made by <br />Eric Guillot, seconded by Ryan Whitaker. Motion carried. 10 ayes. O nays. <br />6. Discussion. UCI Pump Track Event on April 28-29, 2023, ASA bringing about 700 <br />archery shooters, May 17-21, 2023, Jet Ski race at Lake Crook, June 2-4, 2023 and the 903 <br />Sunset series will be back in June. <br />7. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Trey <br />Glascock seconded by Board Member Ryan Whitaker.
