Item No. 7 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem and City Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Andrew Mack, AICP Director Planning & Community Development <br />SUBJECT: Discuss and Act Upon a 5 In 5 Tax Abatement Agreement with Cultiv8 Communities <br />DATE: June 12, 2023 <br />BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION <br />Attached please find the draft resolution and agreement between the City and Cultiv8community for the <br />construction of 5 new single-family homes. These are all City Trustee parcels which did not sell at the tax <br />sale. They are available for the $1 purchase as tax deeds under the Inter -Local Agreement with all taxing <br />entities. This agreement will be through the 5 In 5 Infill Housing Program Area for the following parcels: <br />House No. LOAD # Address <br />2 of the homes are planned for construction this year, with the remaining lots to be constructed in the near <br />future. Attached are site plans, floor plans and elevation drawings of the new homes proposed to be <br />constructed on all the properties. Robert Staples Construction is planned to be the General Contractor for <br />the projects. The agreement spells out all the requirements under the 5 In 5 Infill Development Program <br />Guidelines. Mr. Robert Osborne plans to attend the meeting on Monday night since Mr. Rob Spencer, <br />President will be out of town, to present their building plans under the agreement to the City Council. The <br />tax abatement agreement will then move on to the county board for further consideration on the tax <br />abatement. <br />Recommendation <br />Approval of the 5 In 5 Infill Development Agreement with Cultiv8community for the construction of a 5 <br />new single family homes in the 5 In 5 Area is recommended. <br />
