MINUTES OF THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSON MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />May 10, 2023 <br />The HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION of the City of Paris met for a <br />regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the City Council Chambers. <br />Present: Commission Members: Matt Coyle <br />Glee Emmite <br />Laura Caffey <br />Linda Vandiver <br />Jessica Holtman -Alternate <br />Chris Dux <br />Jennifer Long <br />Absent: Ryan Matthews <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford, Historic Preservation Officer <br />Rob Vine, Assistant City Manager <br />Guests: Arleigh White <br />Jeffery White <br />Carlton Cooper <br />Micah Bedford <br />1. Call meeting to order: <br />Chris Dux, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m. <br />2. Citizens Forum: No one came forward to speak at the meeting. <br />3. Approve minutes from April 12, 2023 meeting. Councilor Linda Knox actually left the <br />council in May instead of June. With that one correction, the minutes were approved by <br />acclamation. 7 ayes — 0 ayes <br />4. Discussion and possible action on the following applications for the property located at <br />121-123 Lamar Avenue:: <br />A. Certificate of Appropriateness, Facade — Arleigh and Jeff White came before <br />the Commission. They want to change the current blanker panel fagade at 121 <br />Lamar to a business front. The layout for that was included in the agenda <br />packet. They will be also changing the back, which currently has 2 grey doors <br />that are industrial style metal. The doors will be custom made to look like the <br />buildings on either side next door. The front will have 2 large pane windows <br />with a door in the middle. The door at 123 Lamar will entrances for the lofts <br />they plan on developing on the second floor. The present door is not wood, so <br />
