MINUTES OF THE MAIN STREET BOARD MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />9 May 2023 <br />The Main Street Board of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:30 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at the Paris City Hall, Paris City Council Chambers, 107 E. Kaufman <br />Paris, Texas 75460. <br />Present: Board Members: Greg Kee, Tracy Dougherty, Glee Emmite, Chad <br />Lindsey, Tyrone Hayden, William Walker, Kari <br />Daniel <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager; Andrew <br />Mack, Director of Planning & Community <br />Development; Rob Vine, Assistant City Manager; <br />Becky Semple, Visitors and Convention Council <br />Liaison <br />Absent: City Representatives: Shatar Moore, City Council Liaison; Mihir Pankaj, <br />City Council Liaison; Paula Portugal, Paris Mayor <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Greg Kee, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:34 p.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum: None <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of April 11th, 2023. A Motion to approve the <br />minutes was made by Board Member Kari Daniel and seconded by Board Member <br />Chad Lindsey. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />4. Receive Activity Report from Greg Kee regarding Wine Fest. This year was the biggest <br />ever with a profit of $17,659. Trophy and certificates still to be given. Rosewood won <br />Best Host, Neighbors Place won Best Winery and High Cotton Best Restaurant. <br />Kari Daniel shared a recommendation from an attendee for the future to have food trucks <br />set up at the event. Several suggestions were discussed: Have a VIP ticket. Have a food <br />voucher ticket to use at one food vendor. Chad Lindsey shared concern that the <br />generators for food trucks would drown out the music if all were located on 11 Street. <br />Glee Emmite commented that it is challenging to get musicians to commit. <br />Receive Activity Report from Tracy Dougherty regarding PDA. The last meeting <br />discussed the Margarita Crawl on May 5tb, proceeds benefiting the Children's Advocacy <br />Center. PDA is planning a Poker Night event and a Cornhole Tournament Event this <br />
