338 NE 8th St Paris TX 75460 14584 <br />332 & 334 Fitzhugh Ave Paris TX 75460 14589 <br />A public meeting will be held May 27, 2023 at the Hospitality Church of God in <br />Christ, located on Fitzhugh. Affected property owners have been notified of this <br />meeting. HPO Bedford reported that 27 people attended the meeting. There were <br />no negative comments made by those attending. <br />Commissioner Dux opened the public hearing. Mr. Carlton Cooper, who resides <br />at 646 Fitzhugh Avenue, came forward and expressed his support for the above <br />named Historic Overlay District. No one else came forth in the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Dux closed the public. Commissioner Holtman made a motion to <br />make a recommendation to Planning and Zoning to create the Historic Overlay <br />District as described in the agenda, seconded by Commissioner Vandiver. The <br />motion carried. 7 ayes, 0 nays <br />8. Presentation for general support and input to the City of Paris for the application to <br />TXDOT Transportation Alternative Set -Aside (TASA) program for planned <br />improvements on an on -system bike lane project on 1 st SW connecting the North East <br />Texas Trail to the south to the Downtown. <br />HPO Bedford stated that TxDOT is requesting the bike lane as shown. A motion <br />was made by Commissioner Vandiver, seconded by Commissioner Coyle to <br />approve the TxDOT request. The motion carried. 7 ayes, 0 nays <br />9. --CONSENT AGENDA --- <br />[Items appearing on this consent agenda may be approved by a single vote of the <br />Commission, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on said agenda.
