MINUTES OF THE LAMAR COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />May 23, 2023 <br />The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 p.m. on May <br />23, 2023, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, 8 West Plaza. <br />Present: Board Members: Chase Coleman, Chance Bankhead, Steve Hyde, Curtis Fendley, <br />Melanie Meredith, Jay Hodge, Brandon Bell, Angela Crawford, Lea Emerson, Byron <br />Prince, and Russell Jackson. <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford <br />Absent: Board Members: Chance Bankhead, Steve :Hyde, Vicki Ballard, Denise Moffitt <br />and Chadlee Johnston. <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Paul Allen, President called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. <br />2. Opening prayer, Paul Allen. <br />3. Approve financials from the meeting of April, 2023. A motion to approve financials was made by Chase <br />Coleman and seconded by Angela Crawford. Motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Approve April 2023 minutes. A motion to approve minutes was made by Curtis Fendley, seconded by Austin <br />Anthony. Motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />5. Approve consent agenda, Executive and VCC minutes. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made <br />by Jay Hodge, seconded by Chase Coleman. Motion carried,9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />6. Receive report from Paul Allen, President. Ambassador group is strong and growing. <br />7. Receive report from Austin Anthony. We have 728 members, please reach out and welcome them. <br />8. Receive report from Cheri Bedford, Eclipse planning. <br />9. Receive report from Becky Semple, Jettribe and 903 Concerts. <br />10. Receive report from Paul Allen, Love Civic Center, WRA sent last payment plus two past due bills that were due <br />in total of $27655.48. Motion to approve was made by Lea Emerson, seconded by Melanie Meridith. Motion carried, <br />9 ayes, 0 nayes. Getting bids from Clyde Crews on fire codes. <br />11. No ABBS report. <br />12. Review program of work from Paul Allen, Jettribe Corporate Challenge was a huge success. The 903 Sunset Series <br />is going well. <br />13. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A motion to adjourn was made by Chadlee Johnston, seconded by Byron Prince. <br />Motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays.
