Building and Standards Meeting <br />June 19, 2023 <br />Page 2 <br />done some work to the other property. Plans to sell, and has contacted a realtor. Asking <br />for extension to sell properties. <br />Motion made by Kim Walker, seconded by Mike Folmar, to table until August 2023 <br />BSC. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />a. 2250 W. Kaufman Paris, TX 75460; City Block 204, Lot 12 <br />Owner: Fredi Luis Rodriguez, 1435 W Houston St., Paris, Texas 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated held off presenting this property for about 6 months because it has <br />a new roof, but continue to get complaints about people going in property. Oncor <br />disconnected power at the pole. Missing and deteriorated wood, broken windows. <br />Inside also shows some recent work done. But most of floor is missing. Also, has 2 <br />sheds in back. No permits have been pulled. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or city has <br />right to do so. But open to repair orders and bringing back to BSC and possibly assessing <br />civil penalties. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Kim Walker, to place repair orders <br />on property and bring back to BSC in 60 days. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />b. 510 NE 19th Paris, TX 75460, City of Paris Block 227-D, Lot 13 <br />Owner: Fabiola Lamonica, 420 Timberlakes, Powderly, Texas 75473 <br />Robert Talley stated no contact with owners. Property is unsecure. Inside has most of <br />floor missing; appears someone started work, but stopped. Floor completely gone in <br />couple of areas. Mold inside. Floor that is in place is too weak to walk on. Appears <br />to be waterlogged. Would indicate roof is leaking. Pile of debris in back yard. Junk <br />vehicle in back yard. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or city has <br />right to do so. Also, remove junk and rubbish and junk vehicle within 30 days, or city has <br />right to do so. Will go by BSC recommendation regarding demo or repair orders. <br />Motion made by Mike Folmar, seconded by Adam Bolton, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />
