MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />May 15, 2023 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 <br />p.m. on May 15, 2023, at the Lanar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Trey Glascock, Bryan Hargis, Bradley Hilliard, Mihir Pankaj, Ryan <br />Whitaker, Robbie Todd, Chadlee Johnston, Chase Coleman, Dustin Broadway, Tim Walsworth, Brittany <br />Miller and Russell Jackson. <br />City Representatives: Paula Portugal <br />Absent: Board Members: Bud Mistry, Eric Guillot, Kelli McDonald <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />2. Citizens' Forum. <br />There was no one present for citizen's forum. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of April 17, 2023. A motion to approve was made by Mihir <br />Pankaj seconded by Trey Glascock. Motion carried. 12 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financial report from April 2023, by Chase Coleman. A motion to approve was made by <br />Tim Walsworth, seconded by Mihir Pankaj. Motion carried. 12 ayes. 0 nays. <br />Discuss and act on funding request for Red River Valley Fair Association for Red River Fair on <br />September 27-30, based on the scoring criteria a motion to approve $1825 was made by Ryan <br />Whitaker, seconded by Bradley Hilliard. Motion carried. 12yes. O nays. <br />6. Discuss and act on funding request for Red River Valley Car Show on June 9-10, based on the <br />scoring criteria a motion to approve $1500 was made by Tim Walsworth, seconded by Robbie <br />Todd. Motion carried. 12 ayes, 0 nays. <br />7. Discussion. Paul Allen stated that Jettribe race will be June 2-3, we need to use some of the <br />prospective events budgeted money. He asked for 12K. A motion to approve moving 12K to <br />Jettribe was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Bryan Hargis. Motion carried. 12 ayes. 0 nays. <br />8. Discussion. Archery event is May 19-21, Tri State Pump Track event is September 9, Gravel Grind <br />had 85 riders and 903 Sunsets start June 8- <br />9. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Trey Glascock <br />seconded by Board Member Ryan Whitaker. Motion carried, 12 ayes — 0 nays.
