Police Department will collaborate on a full-time basis within this Task Force. All agencies agree <br />to accept the responsibility for their respective commitments outlined in the subject "Inter -Local <br />Agreements", and to adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws or regulations, as well <br />as all Grant rules and conditions. <br />The Task Force will be comprised of one investigator from each participating agency who will <br />provide assistance to law enforcement agencies in a defined nine (9) county coverage area or <br />responsibility. Task Force members will, upon request from any law enforcement agency respond <br />to and adopt auto theft and/or motor vehicle burglary cases within its area of responsibility. The <br />Task Force will conduct DMV68-A Inspections for agencies in their area responsibility, and assist <br />DMV offices with investigations involving Title Fraud. The MVCPA has approved a FY -2024, <br />grant award of $453.473.00' which includes a cash match of $27,682.00 by the City of Paris and <br />$25.732.00 by the Lamar County Sheriff's Office, $17,706.00 by the New Boston Police <br />Department and $„26.378.00 by the Hopkins County Sheriffs Office. Cash Matches include Fringe <br />and fuel costs. <br />The Paris Police Departments requests City Council Approval for the attached Inter -Local <br />Agreements. <br />BUDGET: There is no unanticipated impact to the budget of the Police Department. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolutions authorizing Inter -Local Agreements between <br />the City of Paris and Lamar County, Hopkins County and the City of New Boston. <br />Attachments: <br />- Inter -Local Agreements (LCSO, New Boston PD, Hopkins County S.O.) <br />- 2024 MVCPA Grant Application <br />- FY -2024 MVCPA Grant Award <br />- Paris City Council Resolution 2023-023 <br />
