„nwwm TEXAS <br />Memorandum Item No. 22 <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem and City Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Andrew Mack, AICP Director Planning & Community Development <br />SUBJECT: Conduct a public hearing and take action regarding the petition of City of Paris for <br />a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential (LDR) to <br />Medium Density Residential (MDR) in the Springlake Addition, Blocks 1-6, from <br />East Price Street to Cherry Street, between NE 28th Street and NE 30th Street, <br />containing approximately 14.1 acres. <br />MTG. DATE: September 25, 2023 <br />BACKGROUND <br />report. The 6 block area originally <br />included with the proposal has been <br />reduced to 5 '/Z blocks. The 15 acre <br />neighborhood area was also reduced <br />to 11.1 acres. Consistent with this <br />change, the ordinance has also been <br />revised to specify this area as the <br />exhibit to the FLUM Ordinance <br />Amendment. <br />Additional Background <br />Several months prior, the P&Z and <br />City Council approved a Future <br />Land Use Map (FLUM) amendment <br />for Mr. James Martinez at the corner <br />of East Price and 28a' Street NE. <br />Following direction given by the <br />P&Z, since that time we have <br />reviewed the possibility for further <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
