This Strategic Plan is intended to guide <br />the City in the developiaeirt and implementation of its fiscal budget for the next ten YearL with the <br />flexibility of knowing that future City Councils will review and amend as needed to keep this <br />Strategic Plan relevant and effective. <br />Vis0 <br />ion <br />The City CouncH has identified the fallowing as their shared vision for Paris as it glows: <br />In 2032, Paris iss a city with apopdation of over 30,000 and i s considered one of the top <br />ten cities in Tex= due to its excellent qualfty oflifefor all citizens and its businessaefrien* <br />e nment. is by excellent sch�wls acrd an ea�anded infrastrricture including <br />edilities, bike lanes, sidewalks, and interconnected roads and highway systems. Paris has <br />thriving communities with new housing Subdivisigons and re -vitalized neighborhoods. <br />Enhancing the city's status as a unique place to live, play, and visit are its downtor vn <br />historic district and lots praYi»�ity to the Dallas -Fort Worth Metroplex and Oklahoma City. <br />Paris has active businesses and small �stries I" .7. which produce a stable tax base mrd <br />employment opportunities within the region. There are multiple medical facilities which <br />encourage competitive services. Ir leas achieved one of the lowest property tax rates i4pn the <br />state.
