RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />CASTING THE CITY OF PARIS' 614 VOTES FOR BRYAN GLASS FOR A <br />TERM OF TWO YEARS BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2024 ON THE BOARD OF <br />DIRECTORS OF THE LAMAR COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris participates in the Lamar County Appraisal District, <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 6 of the Property Tax Code allows each taxing unit to cast votes <br />for the Board of Directors of the Appraisal District in proportion to their tax levy, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been allotted 614 votes in the election for members <br />of the Board of Directors; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council met in open session to consider the casting of the votes <br />to which they are entitled; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the City of Paris' 614 votes be, and the same are hereby, cast for <br />the following member or members for membership on the Board of Directors of the Lamar <br />County Appraisal District for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2024: <br />Section 3. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, directed to execute the City of <br />Paris's ballot and deliver the same to the Lamar County Appraisal District. <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />
