MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS <br />WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2023 <br />The HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION of the City of Paris met for a regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the City Council Chambers. <br />Present: Commission Members: <br />Absent: <br />City Representative: <br />Guests: <br />Matt Coyle <br />Linda Vandiver <br />Tracy Dougherty <br />Arleigh White <br />Jennifer Long <br />Ryan Matthews <br />Jessica Holtman (came in late) <br />Seth Johnson, Alternate <br />Less Schumake, Alternate <br />Cheri Bedford, Historic Preservation Officer <br />Rob Vine, Assistant City Manager, City of Paris <br />Barbara Wilson <br />1. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Commission Ryan Matthews at 4:01 pm <br />2. Citizens Foram — No one came forth to speak at the Citizens Forum <br />3. Review and approve the September 13, 2023 regular meeting minutes and the September 20, <br />2023 Special Meeting minutes — Chair On a motion by Commissioner Coyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner White, the minutes of the September 13, 2023 regular meeting were approved. <br />Ayes 6; Nays 0. On a motion by Commissioner Long, seconded by Commissioner Coyle, <br />the minutes of the September 20, 2023 special meeting were approved. Ayes 6; Nays 0. <br />4. Discussion and possible action on the following Certificate of Appropriateness application <br />A. 39 N. Main Street— alley improvements, vent hood, signage —Ryan Matthews, owner <br />Paris Brewing Company. Commissioner Vandiver made a motion to recuse <br />Commissioner Matthews, property owner. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Coyle. Motion carried — Ayes 6; Nays 0. Property owner Matthews <br />
