presented his plans for his project. He plans to build an ivy wall to separate his <br />property from the neighboring property and to hide the trash bins. He proposes to <br />have three signs. The first will be a plasma cut sign inside on Main Street, which is <br />not the main entrance, but will direct customers to the Houston Street entrance. He <br />proposes to paint a small "Ice Cold Beer" black and white ghost sign with an arrow <br />pointing toward the public entrance to the Paris Brewing Company. The third sign <br />will be the Paris Brewing Company logo, plasma cut and two-sided hanging between <br />the two Houston Street entrance doors. Mr. Matthews has devised a new plan wherein <br />the vent hood will not be on the outside of the building. On a motion by <br />Commissioner Long, seconded by Commissioner White, the motion carried. Ayes 6, <br />Nays 0. Commissioner Vandiver made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Coyle to <br />return Commissioner Matthews back. Motion carried. Aye 6; Nay 0. <br />B. 508 S. Main — installation of a tool shed — Paula Howard, property owner. Ms. <br />Howard was not present. Commissioner Matthews stated that the plan presented is not <br />compatible with the Design Standards on page 100. No action was taken. <br />5. Discussion on a Historic Preservation Commission Mission Statement: Chairman Matthews. <br />Commission Coyle and Commissioner Holtman will serve on a subcommittee with <br />Commissioner Matthews to draft a mission statement for the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. <br />6. Coordinators Report - HP Officer Bedford reminded the Commissioners of the Main Street <br />Work session on November 16, 2023 from 5:00-8:30 PM. A follow-up meeting is set for <br />December 5, 2023 at 5:00 PM. The location of the meetings is to be determined. <br />7.
