KAUFMAN <br />PARIS TEXAS 75460 <br />TUESDAY FEBRUARY 13 2024 <br />Board Members: Greg Kee, Glee Emmite, Tyrone Hayden, William Walker <br />City Representatives: Cheri Bedford, Main Street Manager; <br />Rob Vine, Deputy City Manager; <br />Board members: Kari Daniel, Seth Walker <br />City Representatives: Mayor Reginald Hughes <br />No one presented at citizens forum. <br />2. Review minutes from the October 10, 2023 -Chairman: <br />A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes by Glee Emmite. Motion was seconded by <br />Tyrone Hayden. 4 ayes, 0 nays <br />3. Discussion and possible action on the following Building Improvement Grant reimbursement: <br />Mr. Spencer O'Connor represented Paris Community Theatre request for approval of <br />funding for the restoration of the front windows of the plaza. The 2001 windows were <br />completely rebuilt with new wood, and keeping the historic glass and the existing profile. The <br />windows were made with Mortis and Tenon design, and photographs of the design were <br />reviewed by the board. The PCT did expend the funds needed for a 50150 match in the <br />amount of $5000. The building improvement grant was requested in July 2023 and project <br />was completed within the one year for completion timeframe of the grant. A motion was <br />made by Tyrone Hayden to approve the grant reimbursement in the amount of $5000. Motion <br />was seconded by William Walker. Motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Transforming Strategies Review: <br />Chairman Kee gave a brief update of the Transforming Strategies adopted by the board. <br />5. Reports: <br />a. Board Members <br />Chairman Kee gave an update on Wine Fest planning, the new VIP experience and the fact that we <br />are full now with vendors. <br />b. PDA <br />Glee Emmite gave an update on events in downtown- Stores will be open on Sunday April 7, before <br />the Eclipse, and a commemorative postal cancellation station will be set up for the event along with <br />a Historic Marker Dedication on the McDonald House <br />
