Spencer O'Connor came before the commission to request the facade grant reimbursement <br />for 36 N. Plaza, Paris Community Theater in the amount of $5000. The fagade of the theater <br />is being completely rewired due to an electrical fire. Commissioner Dougherty made a <br />motion, seconded by Commissioner Vandiver to approve the fagade grant reimbursement. <br />Motion carried. Ayes: 4; Nays 0 <br />6. Carlton Cooper came before the commission Certificate of Appropriateness application for <br />property located in HD 19, Property ID #14545, 446 Fitzhugh. Mr. Cooper brought a sample <br />of the material he plans to use. It is wood and replicates the original wood underpinning of <br />the structure. Commissioner Coyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty to <br />approve the use of the wood material. Motion carried. Ayes 4; Nays 0. <br />Mr. Cooper also requested a fagade request in the amount of $2,000. Jeff White came before the commission to request reimbursement of incentive grant in the <br />amount of $2,500 for property located HD-1Commercial District, Property ID #13690, 121- <br />123 Lamar Ave. He noted that due to fire codes, the address of this property is now 125 <br />Lamar Avenue, Suites 100, 101, 200, and 201. Commissioner Vandiver made a motion, <br />seconded by Commissioner Dougherty to approve the fagade grant. Motion carried. Ayes 4; <br />Nays 0 <br />Mr. White also requested a Verification of Construction Review for Tax Exemption for <br />Rehabilitation of Historic Properties. Commission Coyle made a motion, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dougherty to approve this Tax Exemption request. Motion carried. Aye: 4; <br />Nay 0 <br />8. Mark Homer came before the commission to request a Certificate of Appropriateness for the <br />storefront repair located HD-1 Commercial District, Property ID#13624, 5 E Plaza. This <br />property was heavily damaged when a vehicle drove through the front of the property. Mr. <br />Homer plans to restore it to the pre -damaged condition. Commissioner Dougherty made a <br />motion to approve the COA, seconded by Commissioner Vandiver. Motion carried. Ayes: <br />4; Nays 0 <br />9. Mr. Andrew Turnbo came before the commission for an incentive request for property <br />located at HD -2, Property ID #16589-931 S. Church ST. A minor COA has already been <br />approved to minor repairs. Mr. Turnbo plans to remove the current asbestos siding and <br />replace it with wood siding that replicates the original siding on the house Commissioner <br />Coyle made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Dougherty to approve the COA. Motion <br />carried Ayes: 4; Nays 0 <br />10. Dr. Clay Spencer came before the commission to request a signage grant in the amount of <br />$1,000 for Spencer Orthodontics, located at 134 SW Ist ST. The sign design has already <br />been approved, but THC made a recommendation on the attachment of the sign to the <br />
