ORDINANCE No.= 2024-0 12 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO ALLOW A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT <br />(SUP) FOR TATTOO SHOP IN THE CENTRAL AREA DISTRICT (CA) FOR <br />CITY OF PARIS BLOCK 11, LOT 7, LCAD 1V0. 13685, LOCATED AT 130 N. <br />MAI1V STREET; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY <br />CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS,, the Planning and Zoning Commission received a request for an <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris for a specific use permit (SUP) for a <br />Tattoo Shop ion the Central Area (CA) zoning district for City of Paris Block 11,, Lot 7., LCAD <br />No. 13685, located at 130 N. Main Street; and, <br />WHEREAS, on March 4, 2024, following notice and publication as required by law, <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed <br />amendment to the CitZoning Ordinance for an SUP for a Tattoo Shop in y the Central Area <br />District (CA), and, following said hearing, made formal recommendation to the City Council <br />to approve the requested specific use permit subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Update Certificate of Occupancy to include Tattoo Shop. <br />2. The business owner shall comply with all required federal, state, and local <br />laws. <br />3. The SUP shall terminate upon the vacation of the premises and <br />discontinuance of the use at this location. <br />WHEREAS, on March 25, 2024, following notice and publication as required by law, <br />the City Council of the City of Paris conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendment <br />to the City Zoning Ordinance, and having considered the recommendations of the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission and the testimony and evidence introduced at said public hearing, <br />found and determined that approving the aforesaid specific use permit with the stated <br />conditions would be consistent with the Comprehensive Future Land Use Plan of the City of <br />Paris, consistent with the City Zoning Ordinance, and in the best interests of the public health, <br />safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Paris by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />
