ORDINANCE NO. 2024-013 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO ALLOW A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT <br />(SUP) FOR A CHILD CARE CENTER IN A MULTI=FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT NO. 2 (MF -2) FOR CITY OF PARIS BLOCK 220-A, LOTS 9A AND <br />6, LOCATED AT 1905 E. PRICE STREET, LCAD NO. 22040; PROVIDING A <br />REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A <br />PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission received a request for an <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Paris for a specific use permit (SUP) for a <br />Child Care Center in a Multi -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (MF --2) for City of Paris Block 220- <br />A, Lots 9A and 6, located at 1905 E. Price Street, LCAD No. 22040; and, <br />WHEREAS, on March 4, 2024, following notice and publication as required by law <br />A <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public11"[)n earing the proposed <br />amendment to the City Zoning Ordinance for an SUP for a Child Care Center in a Multi -Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 (MF -2), and, following said hearing, made formal recommendation to <br />the City Council to approve the requested specific use permit subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. The applicant shall obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. <br />2. The business owner shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws. <br />3. The SUP shall terminate upon the vacation of the premises and <br />discontinuance of the use at this location. <br />WHEREAS, on March 25, 2024, following notice and publication as required by law, <br />the City Council of the City of Paries conducted a public hearing on the proposed amendment <br />to the City Zoning Ordinance, and having considered the recommendations of the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission and the testimony and evidence introduced at said public hearing., <br />found and determined that approving the aforesaid specific use permit with the stated <br />conditions would be consistent with the Comprehensive Future Land Use Plan of the City of <br />Paris,, consistent with the City Zoning Ordinance,, and in the best interests of the public health, <br />safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Paris by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1.
