MINUTES OF THE PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />March 18, 2024 <br />The Paris Visitors and Convention Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 4:00 p.m. on <br />March 18, 2024, at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce board room, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. <br />Present: Board Members: Bradley Hilliard, Ryan Whitaker, Chadlee Johnston, Thomas McMonagle, Trey <br />Glascock, Bryan Hargis, Brittany Miller, Monica Clement, Cody Head, Misty Halcomb and Sherrie Holbert. <br />City Representatives: none <br />Absent: Board Members: Tim Walsworth, Bud Mistry, Eric Guillot <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Citizens' Forum. <br />There was no one present for the citizen's forum. <br />3. Approve minutes from the meeting of February 2024. A motion to approve was made by Brad Hilliard <br />seconded by Cody Head. Motion carried. 11 ayes, 0 nays. <br />4. Receive financial report from February 2024, by Paul Allen. A motion to approve was made by Misty <br />Halcomb, seconded by Monica Clement. Motion carried. 11 ayes. 0 nays. <br />5. Discuss and act on funding request for "Eiffel in Love with Quilts" on May 10' and 1 lth. Based on the <br />scoring criteria a motion to approve $2450 was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Cody Head. Motion <br />carried. 11 ayes. O nays. <br />6. Discuss and act on funding request for Red River Valley Veterans car show on June 8' and 9' Based on <br />the scoring criteria a motion to approve $2150 was made by Misty Halcomb, seconded by Thomas <br />McMonagle. Motion carried. 11 ayes. O nays. <br />7. Paul Allen stated that he had pulled a pacer report for Rocket Raceway, over 3000 came and stayed in six <br />hotels, five retail and fourteen restaurants. Eclipse and Kevn Fowler Concert on April 7-8, we are having <br />Trinity Black Car service shuttle people from PJC, if needed. The spots to park at the civic center are $20. <br />Kayak Adventure will be held in April 2025. <br />8. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Board Member Bryan Hargis, seconded <br />by Board Member Chadlee Johnston. Motion carried, 11 ayes —0 nays.
