MINUTES OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS EMERGENCY MEETING Apriol. 5 2024 The Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas Board of Commissioners met for a EMERGENCY BOARD MEETING at 10:00A.m. On Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas, Booker T WashingtoM—Ple") n Co Community Room, Paris, Texas 75460. Present: Board Members,: Jenny Wilson, Vice Chairman Steve Smith Derrick Hill Beverly Johnson City Representatives: City Manager Grayson Path Mayor Reginald Hughes Chief of Police Richard Salter Fire Chief Thomas Mcmonigle Housing Authority Employees,: Elizabeth Brooks Patricia Pridemore Althea Heiden Brandy Osbourn Veronica Butler Pam Adams Kim Snow Absent: Board Members: TK Haynes 1. Call meeting to order, Jenny Wilson, Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners', called the meeting to order at 10: 0 1 a.m. 2. Quorum and members verified by Jenny Wilson, Vice Chairman. 3. Citizens' Forum. 15 members of the public signed in attendance. Each citizen was allowed 2 minutes to speak,, 5 citizens spoke to express their concerns and questions about the incidents at Booker T Washington 4. Jenny Wilson,, Vice Chair spoke to ensure the public that the Board of Commissioners of the Paris Housing Authority is concerned for the residents' safety and that they are and will work closely with the City o"I Paris and the Paris Police Department to deter further incidents. Elizabeth Brooks, Executive Director spoke to the public concerning the past and the most recent incident effecting the peace and safety of our residents. 5. Elizabeth Brooks,, Executive Director", Grayson Path, City Manager and Chief Slater all 40 spoke to make the public aware of our commitment and continued efforts to work together to help make all Housing Authority complexes as safe as possible. All three spoke on future plans of action that we are working to instill.
