§ 8. Compensation of Directors <br />Directors shall serve without compensation, but will be reimbursed for <br />their actual expenses as may be reasonably incurred in their carrying out <br />the duties according to policies set by the Board. <br />§ 9. Conflict of Interest <br />A Director shall not: (a) accept or solicit any gift, favor, or service that might <br />reasonably tend to influence that Director in the discharge of official duties <br />on behalf of the Authority or that the Director knows or should know is <br />being offered with the intent to influence the Director's official conduct; or <br />(b) accept other compensation that could reasonably be expected to impair <br />the Director's independence of judgment in the performance of the <br />Director's official duties. Directors shall familiarize themselves and comply <br />with all applicable laws regarding conflicts of interest, including Chapter <br />171 of the Texas Local Government Code and any conflict of interest policy <br />adopted by the Board. <br />§ 10. Additional obligations and training of Directors <br />Directors shall comply with any requirement to file an annual personal <br />financial statement, if and to the extent required by § 370.2521 of the RMA <br />Act, and must complete training on the RMA's responsibilities under the <br />Open Meetings Act and the Public Information Act as provided by §§ <br />551.005 and 552.012 of the Texas Government Code. <br />Adopted April 9, 2008 P 6 <br />Revisions: June 7, 2012; February 15, 2018 <br />
